Helping Make Keys Gate A Great Place to Call Home
Meet Paige Latterner.
A great community is shaped by many factors. At Keys Gate one of those factors is undoubtedly Paige Latterner.
When she first came to Keys Gate more than six years ago, Ms. Latterner immediately saw the area’s great potential and knew it could become one of South Florida’s premier communities. After forming Keys Gate Realty, she began talking to builders and encouraged them to reinvigorate neighborhoods that had come to a stand still after Hurricane Andrew. Despite a lack of builder interest, she remained true to her vision and convinced several friends to form a construction company. Since then Ms. Latterner’s real estate company has sold more than a thousand new Keys Gate homes, helped create five new Keys Gate neighborhoods and has assisted hundreds of Keys Gate’s residents re-sell their homes. This tremendous growth has now attracted several national builders to the area.
Ms. Latterner is focused on ensuring Keys Gate’s status as a well planned community that values its homeowners and provides them with access to superb amenities. The homeowners' board and management office oversees Keys Gate’s many neighborhoods, as well as all shared community properties, such as parks, tennis facilities and the club house.
Ms. Latterner is a firm believer in preserving Keys Gate’s tropical foliage and encourages builders to incorporate plenty of open spaces and landscaping into their plans. In her view, Keys Gate’s amenities set it apart from other communities and help the homeowner’s property appreciate. Her team-oriented management approach fosters a “work together for the betterment of the community” philosophy that takes employees' and residents' opinions into the decision-making process.
Ms. Latterner is proud of the role she played in helping to establish the Keys Gate Charter School. A strong proponent of education who serves on Homestead’s Educational Board and Task Force, she approached the owners of the land about donating 10 acres for the school. They agreed and three years later, hundreds of Keys Gate families have enrolled their children in the school. Due to the popularity and need, two additional sites have been donated by the developer for K-8 schools. One of these is one under construction through the Educational Facilities Benefit District board, on which Ms. Latterner serves.
When not at Keys Gate, Paige is often volunteering in the community. She is on the board of “Little Angels” an organization that assists physically and mentally challenged children living in Homestead and she fundraises for the pediatric programs at Homestead and Baptist Hospital. Ms. Latterner has two children: daughter Cali, age 5, and son Tanner, age 3.
No one knows Keys Gate better than Keys Gate Realty. That's because no other realtor has sold more homes here.
